We have for sale one of the nicest classic conversion vans out there, it's a 1977 Ford Conversion Van that was made special for the original owners by a Ford Authorized Conversion company back in 1977. The cute older couple that I bought the van from back in '05 took excellent care of their van during the nearly 30 years that they owned it. The lady of the couple was proud to show off the orange curtains and the other special features that she and her husband picked out from the conversion catalog back in the day.
Today the interior is still in like new condition. There is a working sink and a refrigerator (that requires a second battery), and many unique cupboards, cabinets, lights, bells and whistles (literally!). This '77 Ford conversion van is a hand-made work of art. There are even head phones that come with the van that plug into the ceiling! There is a CB and a personal address system in the van so you can speak into the CB and be heard from outside the van! There is a siren, mood lighting and an alarm system. This van is a ton of fun no matter how you look at it.
The van always starts up and it runs very well. When sitting it will leak transmission fluid but it is probably just a pan gasket. I have not noticed it using any oil and the van is ready for any long distance adventure. There are two tanks but there is something that prevents the van from working properly on the second tank so I just use the first tank and that works just fine. The odometer and speedometer and gas gauge all work as they should. The original radio is still working as it did back in 1977. The inside lights work with a switch inside the side doors and there are additional lights that work above the bed/rear table seating area. The back seats fold down into a bed.
This Ford van has almost always been garage kept and the rockers, chassis and frame are all in excellent condition. The van was rust free and in original paint when I purchased it back in 2005 and I had it repainted once in the original colors. There are only a few flaws in otherwise very nice paint.
This is the ultimate drive-in movie van and I have had a lot of fun taking the van camping and going to special outings. I have put approximately 5000 miles on the van since I bought it in '05 from the original owners. I am a huge fan of classic vans and I currently have 8 in my collection (!) so I must sell this one to make room for the others. I hope to sell this classic conversion van to someone who will treat it as well as the previous two owners. This has been a very fortunate van and it has been treated very well since new.
If you have any questions feel free to call me up or you can use the contact form on this Web Site. Thank you for checking out this classic Ford conversion van! -John Snell
