This is a stunning 1959 Austin Healey 100-6 for sale. The Austin Healey 6 replaced the four cylinder Austin Healey 100 in 1956 and a restyled body complimented the increase in performance. 1957 saw engine horsepower increase to from 102 to 117. The 100-6 was produced though 1959 so this Healey 100-6 represents the most refined version of the iconic sports car ever produced. It is rare to find such an original Austin Healey 100-6 for sale.
This beautiful example was sold new in 1959 in Spokane, Washington. The first owner had the restoration done in the early '90s and it has held up beautifully. The second owner was a car collector from Marin, CA who bought the car in 2001 before moving to Madison, WI. The current sellers purchased the car from Wisconsin in 2009 and like many collectors in the Midwest, have stored the car from October through May and enjoyed it only on nice weather days in the Summer months.
The chrome on the car is excellent and the paint is shiny and bright. The body work was done to a very high standard as is evident from the photos. In the photographs from the front and rear of the car you can see an absolute mirror finish reflecting the surrounding scenery.
