1971 VW Westfalia Bus for Sale

Engine runs perfectly, full camper interior!
Here is a good deal on a VW Westfalia bus for sale by Sunset Classics. This VW Westy runs and drives great and comes with a full camper interior. The engine was recently tuned by my vw mechanic and it runs great. 1971 is the best year for campers in my eyes because they still have the easy-to-work-on upright engine but they have disc brakes up front. This bus even has the desirable tent that attaches to the open bus (no poles but the rare tent is included). It has some rust and some dings but the interior is complete and nice and clean. It's a perfect bus to enjoy and to take deep into the woods for a weekend of camping!
This bus has an ice box, sink, tables, bed, closet, and rear screen so you can have the back hatch open without having to worry about bugs. The side widows crank open and they have screens too. The interior lights need bulbs and I can look around to see if I have ones that fit. I just replaced all the fuel line on the bus and put in a new fuel filter. My mechanic just completed the regular maintenance of adjusting the valves. I also had him adjust the clutch so you should have trouble free driving for miles to come. The gas gauge doesn't work so I just keep track of the mileage and fill up every 200 miles or so. Mileage shows 2052 so that is probably 102,052. The turn signal switch is a bit loose but all turn signals and headlights/brights work. The steering is nice and tight and this bus cruises down the road very smoothly. It's a FUN drive :-)
There is a CD player installed and it sounds great. There are wires running all the way to the back by the spare tire so if you wanted to put speakers in the rear it would be as simple as plugging in more speakers in back. The sliding door opens and closes as it should and the track is nice and solid. (I've seen old busses that are so rusty the door falls off the track!). It's a nice-looking bus with a super comfortable interior. There is some bubbling in the paint so it's not a show car but it's something you won't have to worry about if you bring it camping. This is a bus you can enjoy worry free even if you have kids running around!
