1991 VW Westfalia Review

This is a very fun 1991 Vanagon Westfalia for sale. This camper has been very well maintained and there are receipts going all the way back to 2000. This Vanagon starts, stops and drives beautifully. Stop daydreaming about a camping adventure or road trip - start planning one today in your very own VW Westy. With this Vanagon Westfalia in your collection you will be a lot closer to living your dreams!

This Vanagon is originally from Texas and there are receipts that go back to the Lone Star State. The previous owner moved from Colorado to Minnesota and wisely the Camper was stored during the winter months so as to maintain the solid body. The current owner and previous owners have been very good at addressing issues as needed, and there is an extensive folder of receipts totaling thousands of dollars in just the past few years.

Recent work includes

There is a CD player to enjoy during long drives, and while camping there is a full double bed up top as well as the bed in the rear of the bus. There are curtains to cover all the windows for privacy and there is a rear screen for the back hatch for plenty of ventilation. The stove works and the sink makes cleaning up much easier. This is a convenient vehicle whether you're enjoying a drive-in movie for the night or traveling across the Country for the summer. This is a great way to bring people together or to get away from it all. It's all up to you, this 1991 Vanagon Westfalia just makes it all possible.

There are two notable bumps to mention, and the story seems to make these imperfections almost exciting for people to tell. The previous owner was driving through the Mountains and had an incident with a big horn sheep of all things. So that explains the passenger side front dent. I didn't get a final report on the animal but let's hope for the best on that one. The rear imperfection (or beauty mark or age spot or dent if you're more of a traditionalist) was caused by the previous owner's 9 month pregnant wife while trying to back out of the garage. The baby is perfectly healthy though so in the end this Vanagon just has two interesting stories that previous owners have enjoyed sharing.

It appears there has been one repaint in the original color and the paint job overall looks good. Please look through the Close-Up Photo Gallery to see the smaller knicks and bumps as I tried to point them out. Most people seem to zip right past looking at the outside to climb into and enjoy the nearly perfect inside. I think you'll enjoy your time inside this Westfalia too should you be so lucky to be the next owner!
