1980 z28 chevy camaro for sale

Hey classic mopar fans I've got a beauty of a 1980 Chevy Camaro for sale. This Camaro Z28 runs and drives great. It's almost hard to accelerate without spinning the tires. But if you give it just a bit of gas it purrs down the road effortlessly. If you stomp it down, the hood scoops open up and the car kicks into racing mode.

The car really has a split personality. You can drive it for fuel efficiency and use only 2 of the barrels in the 4 barrel carburetor, or you can drive it like you stole it and lay rubber all day long. I prefer to drive it like an old lady unless I'm challenged on the freeway. And with a car that looks like it's hot off the track, you'll get a challenge here and there. And you'll beat 'em every time...

Camaro Z28 Features and Upgrades:

I've seen two of these go on eBay in the last 60 days. One was red and it was bid up to over $15k. The other was in blue that sold with buy-it-now at $14,900. I love these cars and apparently I'm not alone. 1980 neared the end of the second generation for the Chevrolet Camaro - a great American muscle car.

The chassis and suspension of the second generation was greatly refined in both performance and comfort, and even the base models offered significant advances in sound-proofing, ride isolation, and road-holding. With lots of high performance extras this beauty was built to impress.

Most everything works as it should, and the car always starts right up. The cruz control isn't hooked up, nor is the heat or air conditioning. All the parts seem to be there but there are some hoses and wires that aren't hooked up (the vacuum hose is missing from the cruz for example). The radio has power but my guess is that it's not hooked to any speakers because there is no sound. (You can congratulate me on my brains later.)

The aftermarket gauges work and they register water temp and oil pressure as they should. I get the smell of coolant as it leaks a bit onto the intake manifold. It doesn't smell all the time but I wanted to mention it. It drips a bit of oil like you might expect from an older GM. But it sure looks hot and after a wash this baby just glows. Oh, for some reason the passenger side safety belt doesn't fit into the female part on that side. The car has working rear and driver's side seat belts.

Ask any questions if you have 'em. Thanks for checking out my auction. Make sure you make it to the photo galleries and videos of the car below. I've really been enjoying this one--it'll be sad to see it go. This is a great car and I'm sure the next owner will love it.
