I am pleased to offer this 1971 Series 3 Jaguar XKE for sale. I have sold a lot of classic E-types over the past 3 years and this one is the first Series 3. Silver over black is one of the most desirable color combinations on a classic Jaguar, and this car runs, drives, and looks very nice!
The biggest selling point on this particular XKE for sale (aside from its great looks) is the completely rebuilt, numbers matching engine. The heads alone on this Jaguar XKE were over $3000. The cost of the new and refurbished engine parts was over $10,000 total. The car has only been driven around 300 miles since the engine rebuild. Listen to the engine run in the videos below and you will be able to appreciate all of the time and expertise that went into making this classic Jaguar purr like a kitten. There are receipts of the work done shown at the end of the close-up photo gallery.
The interior is very comfortable and in overall good condition. The front seats were reupholstered with the correct material. The cost of the material alone was over $1000, and as you would expect when doing things correctly they look great! The headliner is in nice shape and the door panels are original and they are still very nice looking. There are some 6x9 speakers in the back and thankfully no cutting was done--they are just sitting loose in the rear luggage area. The seller tried the A/C for the first time the day of our photo shoot and it did blow out cool air. The fan started to make a little clicking noise at one point but all of the different speeds for the fan worked with the switch.
The paint is really nice on the car. From even just 5 feet away this classic Jaguar looks very sharp. There are a few small imperfections and those can be seen in detail in the close-up photo gallery. The chrome is original and unless you stick your nose right up to it the shine looks very nice against the beautiful silver paint work.
Please take a moment to view the two photo galleries and enjoy the videos for this 1971 Jaguar XKE we have for sale. Let me know if you have any questions and thank you for viewing my listing! John Snell - SOLD
