We have a stunning 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500E Eleanor for sale here at Sunset Classics. This is one of the nicest Ford Mustang Eleanor GT 500E recreations in the World. We've sold a few Eleanor Mustangs over the years and everyone who knows Mustangs knows the custom-built Gone in 60 Seconds Eleanor - and this car is a stunning recreation of that famous Carroll Shelby original! This car started from a solid, California body 1967 Mustang Fastback and has been worked and tuned to the super monster you see here. Drivetrain – 385 Stroker Windsor – 498 torque, 485 h.p.
Motor – Roller everything, aluminum trick flow heads, mallory electronic ignition, Edelbrock 800 carb, (endurashine) polished RPM performer manifold, aluminum water pump, chrome overflow tank, aluminum radiator, duel electric fans, finned and polished Edelbrock valve covers, matching finned oval air cleaners with cotton filter, chrome water neck & hoses, 100 amp 1 wire chrome alternator, ceramic coated BBK Headers, high flow chrome fuel pump with back up electric pump, fuel pressure gauge & regulator, high torque starter.
Transmission – New tremic 600 (rated at 600 ft. lb torque), 5 speed hydraulic operated clutch, 105 in ceramic and Kevlar clutch disk, chrome Hurst shift handle with go baby go button, Lakewood starter shield.
Steering, Suspension, Brakes – This suspension is built to handle a road race course. It hugs the road like glue!
Front and Rear Baer power disk brakes with chrome power booster, calipers have Shelby insignia, all new brake lines, Flaming River chrome tilt steering wheel, Shelby wheel.
Front – Mustang II front end (no shock towers), tubular control arms, 5 way adj. Coil over gas shocks, over sized front sway bar, power rack and pinion steering with chrome reservoir.
Rear – New Ford 9 inch traction lock posi but no clutches 3, 50 gears, all new drive shaft, 31 spline upgraded axles, of course rear Baer disc brakes, rear end torque arm, total control suspension with horizontally mounted coil over 5 way adjustable gas shocks. 4 Liak, watts, you name it it's under there.
Electrical – All new painless wiring – rear mounted battery.
Exterior – California shell was media blasted inside and out, new Ford doors, new Ford front fenders, Eleanor body kit, all new Eleanor front lighting, all new weather striping and seals, all new door handles and locks, 5 coats Dupont pepper gray paint, 5 coats clear, x cage welded body sub frame underneath, minitubbed, new windshield, Cobra gas cap.
Wheels – Front 17x8 Eleanor wheels, BF Goodrich G Force TA's, 245/40 ZR17
Rear 17x11 in Eleanor wheels, BF Goodrich G Force TA's 315/35 ZR 17
Interior – Carroll Shelby embroidered seats, all new interior, dash pad, panels seats, carpet, headliner, etc.
Shelby door panels, scuff plates, new polished dash, auto meter phantom gauges, 10,000 tach, 200 mph speedometer. 4 point welded roll bar, Cobra aluminum pedal covers.
Whew! Well, if that was an overload and I lost you at 485hp, just know that the builder knew what he was doing and knows how to make a truly beautiful performance automobile.
